Just had our traditional April snow here in Birmingham, albeit less and later than I was expecting.
Just as I was about to go for a walk around the park, too - might take a few extra layers!

Mega hail today whilst I was at work. For 3 minutes the car park turned white.

Hail is a bit more of a thing here in continental Europe. It is not uncommon for car rooves to be destroyed by hail and that's part of the standard insurance details.

Coating of Snow when I left for work this morning - roads clear, though.
Now (4pm) is dark and hailing a lot; ground going white.... Might be interesting going home if it keeps it up...

So the saying goes - if you are tired of the weather wait about 20min. Well today you only had to wait 2min. Snow, hail, rain while the sun was shining, then wind, grey, hail and no wind and glorious blue skies - rinse and repeat in what ever order you fancy. Made today's walkies fun, anywhoo.

Confirmed.  I just rode to the station (to collect some Orange Cardboard) in glorious sunshine, then back via the shop in freezing headwind with ominous clouds.  At some point while I was inside my saddle got rained on.

ETA: And now it's gone dark and the hail has arrived.

Went on a long walk wearing a fleece. Took the fleece off after 2 miles. Put a shower jacket on after 3.5 miles, for the snow storm.
Had my meeting
Set off in just a shirt. After 1.5 miles put my snow jacket back on, for the snow storm.
Shivered all the way home.

We have just experienced the most bodacious hard snow/ soft hail downpour! Garden pea sized nuggets of ice, soft enough to compress between my fingers but hard enogh to bounce and provide that slight frisson of impact sting.

We ahd snow in Corrie Fee yesterday. For some of our students on the amble it was the first time they had ever experienced real snow.

Light covering of hail, snow and sleet overnight. Seems we must have a large proportion of autonomous vehicles in Cheshire and Wirral as the local papers are full of the carnage caused by cars becoming out of control ::-)
