Forecast in North Herts. May have up to several cm of snow in places. I'm sure its difficult to predict snowfall in England with any degree of accuracy, but weasel words like , may, up to, in places, and finally up to several cm, that's less than an inch. Bring back Michael Fish, he says it like it is(nt).
I'm only kidding. Funny thing is , back in the late 60s and 1970s I used to pray for snow. Even now, at 60 its a joy to hop on my MTB and head down a bridleway.

Started here on the Bucks / Herts Chilterns border about 10 minutes again. Relatively small flakes, and looking at the progress of the front, should be mostly stopped by 10:30-11:00. So maybe 2-3cm worth? We’ll see.

Woken up at approximately audax o'clock by voices outside. This normally means it's 4a.m. and the drunks are staggering home. But these sounded like children's voices and it seemed light outside... Look outside and there is a streetfull of children playing in two inches of wet, sticky snow. By nine it had almost all gone.

Snow here in Stratford (the upon Avon one) - was light at about 0730 - then heavy at around 0915 - now very light falling - and the family WhatsApp is reporting snow in various locations - Lanacashire (Ribble Valley) had it yesterday, gone now.
