Here on the western margins of Cheshire, overlooking the Dee valley, it started snowing around 8 this morning, lightly at first but it's been getting gradually heavier all morning, but on and off,  and we now have a good covering.  Looking at the weather radar, there's a low centred over Ruthin, and the cloud is rotating around that. We are f/c for snow for an hour or 2 yet.

Will have to venture out shortly for the lab's second walk of the day - of 3.

Big fat juicy flakes in E17 about half an hour ago and settling on cold things like motor-cars, houses and Larrington Gardens Road.  But seems to have switched to very fine stuff and/or drizzle when I recharged my mug of Brown Drink just now chiz.

Temperature up to 4°C in Saarfend. Snow looking unlikely.

Still snowing on the Bucks/Herts border though less heavily, road (linear village dead end) covered, so might be a bit slippery tomorrow morning. We’ve had 3-4cm, but it’s visibly slumping and dripping off the cars. Once it’s stopped I’ll pop out and clear my doors and mirrors for tomorrow’s commute.

Medium-sized flakes settling on things.  w00t!  Scooterboy riding very gingerly along Larrington Gardens Road, has rear wheel lockup slowing at T-junction.

I've just walked down to Sainos to do my weekly shop. It is 'ver slippery underfoot.
I was going to follow it up with my usual Sunday visit to Mother - but I'll give it a miss, as I don't want to go over there, and then find that there are issues with getting back.

Impressively, a scooterboy, accompanied by a female scooterboy, just glided past on one of the Voi scooters.  Nominally uphill, in about 3 inches of snow.

Not been out today, but it's still looking quite frozen out there and started snowing "up here" about 1pm, quite lightly and fine flakes

Mostly stopped here now, road all slushy, only car windscreens & bonnets still covered. We’ve had some drizzle too, just for variety.

It snowed for about 20 minutes earlier in my part of Suffolk. Then a few minutes of snow grains (SG) - soft hail - now nothing. It's hovering around freezing, so whatever falls will settle. Not going out to check.

About an inch here in South Northants yesterday. Would have been more but some thawing due to mild conditions (+1.5C).
Yesterday the it was -2.5C, with -0.4C in the loft; this morning it was -6C with +1.3C in the loft - snow is a good insulator.
When it uncolds a bit I'll trudge fieldwards to get BEERS. Have boots and anklegators (not to be confused with crocodildoes) at the ready and hoping that the SE-facing slope of a field doesn't thaw otherwise it'll need waders.
