A couple of inches yesterday, mostly wet snow which went to slush quickly on the roads. Nice stomp along the downs though. Crunch crunch. A thin, icy coat lingering this morning. The levitating tent is looking a bit the worse for wear, now slumping like a fat man has taken to sleeping in it. Or a bear.

Cleared the snow off the car around 3pm, then we had another 1/2" last night, and temps of -7C. Very crucnhy this morning, and quite a challenge scraping the windows.  The A41 was, um, "interesting" this morning, only 1 lane for most of my journey. Work still has 2" of snow in the car park (ungritted - it's a small industrial estate with shared parking over maybe a dozen enterprises, and the landlord does sweet FA). My car, despit being dark grey and in full sun still have snow on the roof. Its a beautiful day out  :thumbsup:

I was briefly amused watching someone trying to get their Range Rover out of their drive in the snow and failing. I assume they eventually managed.

Top tip for half-wits, shovel your driveway (or pre-emptively grit it, like me) before attempting to reverse out.

Just to let you lot know that it snowed over night for at least the fourth time this year, yet my social media or MSM isn't going mad about it.

That said, as it is often here never cold enough before to let the ground freeze and cold enough during/after for it to last any time for any enjoyment past 5min. Like the last time it snowed (a little over a week ago) we are due rain later with frost over night, so the outside is going to be fun for the next 24 hours if you are planning to move about.

In Upper Weardale, it seems to have snowed every time there is a vaccination clinic down the Dale in Crook, so all the oldies have to battle to get there

Close to Basingstoke, a couple of days ago the forecast was for heavy snow last night, then snow all day, and some more heavy snow this evening.

This morning it is just grey out, and the forecast says it won't quite get to us  :(
