Quite a lot in the night. Municipal snowplough, natch, came through at 5 am.

ETA just come in from clearing the pavement on our side of the road. Not enough on our side to warrant the snow shovel, but the far side has around 10 cm on it. Dunno how that worked but

For once the forecast for us was correct - "95% chance of little or no accumulation", and that's what we got.

Forecast here was for snow to start around midnight and continue all night. At 7.00 am my phone said that it was currently snowing. I took a look. Nothing.

WE've had 5.6mm rain in the past 24 hours. The forecast was that bad that Jane and I decided to postpone a ride we had planned - 3°C with heavy rain in the Chelmsford area. It's still looking as though there's likely to be heavy rain around noon, so perhaps it was a good idea to postpone, but the afternoon is looking a lot better.

The tops in Wendover Woods (perhaps 200m higher than us) were white this morning, and there was maybe an inch on the ground, but from what I can see out of the window thats all gone, probably due to the earlier fog. No rain. Overcast.

Currently -3 and clear skies.

If we get more snow today, it will start to build up quite a bit.
