-9 last night was the minimum. The trees are all covered in frost, there was a freezing fog.
It is simpler than it looks.

The freezing fog was so severe here last night that it looks as though it snowed.

Beautiful to look at - but the roads are treacherous.  And the idiots are out in force...  >:(

Currently -6o outside.

We watched it snow through the windows last night at work.  A half inch dusting on the car this morning.  And I had to get the shovel out of the boot to get it to a decent safe parking spot when I got home  :-[

Really sick of the snow now.

I like your chain guard. What is it? Looking at the state of my chain this morning, I think I need one.

I wish you lot would stop boasting about your snow.  Here in central Hertfordshire we have had a single session of less than 15mm.  I did manage a walk around the lakes at Stanborough the next day and it was rather attractive and the lakes were totally frozen over.  BUT THAT WAS IT.  I can't even blag a snow-day off work as I retired in August.

+1, apart from the retirement bit.  People in Romford were moaning that the roads hadn't been gritted; in 've 'stow there was no need for the roads to be gritted  :(

Yup.  Classic close overtake against oncoming traffic to beat me to the back of the queue at the Sainsburys roundabout this morning.  Moron.  I told him as much.

The so-called "Didcot" Power Station in Sutton Courtenay caused a modest dump of snow all over Milton Trading Estate last night. Nowhere else in the area has had snow for days.

Meanwhile ...
Last night a plucky cycling club committee member walked a couple of k down unlit bridleways to the pub hosting the December meeting. Except he forgot the level crossing was closed during December. Luckily pedestrian access was allowed, so one of the night watchmen came over to open the barricades. Sadly their padlock key snapped in the lock

Am I going to die come down with lurgi?

The water supply has been cut off because of a burst main.  I have scraped up a large quantity of surface snow from the garden, and have thawed it, boiled it, and used it to make Lemsip.

Is that safe?

That's fine.  You can't tell the difference between lemsip snow and yellow snow.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

The difference is subtle but one will not be so good for you

On the approach to Heathrow this morning the frost-covered countryside looked quite pretty.  The only evidence of snow in East London are the piles of salt/grit on the pavements.

Back across the pond, the snow continues to fall rather heavily.
