Long shot . . . Heart of England Cycling Club has a group trip planned to cycle from Caen to Calais - the schedule in brief is ferry on Tuesday night 6 June Portsmouth-Caen - 3 nights at Caen - then stops of 1-2-2-1-1 nights with day rides where there are 2 nights and the Eurotunnel Bike Service from Calais on Saturday 17 June. All the bookings have been made and confirmed.
We were 11 - one has dropped out through serious ill-health so we have a vacancy - with the room sharing we can accommodate a male or a female. Staying in IBIS and Logis style hotels.
We're a friendly group of touring cyclists (riding together one day every week - all CTC or ex-CTC members) aged between about 57 and 71 - average speed likely to be around 11-12mph (with luggage), longest day is about 60 miles.
This will be the 6th year of these foreign trips - great fun and great cycling (as well as food and beer!)
