Armstrong told Gazzetta dello Sport that he was looking forward to the Corsa Rosa. "I can't wait until May, I have never participated in the Giro. Finally I will be able to change this."

Also he seems to be riding the Tour Down Under, despite not declaring soon enough. Seems the UCI are prepared to bend the rules!

Yes, UCI have bent the rules for him. Will he (ride to) win it though, as great riders have done before him?

With the collapse of the Pro Tour, I reckon Armstrong is being paid a wedge by the UCI to bring some publicity to the lesser tours
