Dogs - left handed or right handed?
« on: 18 February, 2010, 04:27:30 pm »
Just an idle thought.

When I'm out walking the dog, she always circles me anticlockwise.
Has anyone else noticed if their dog is "left-handed" or "right-handed"?

Shouldn't it be left or right pawed? ;D

Whenever Talisker hasn't quite got a bit of food entirely in his mouth, he'll normally use his right front paw to push it in, so at least one cat seems to be predominantly right pawed.
Actually, it is rocket science.

The dog that now lives away goes both ways I think, I'll try and remember to check next weekend.

The old cat occasionally pretends his still got a limp and holds his right paw up but sometimes forgets which one he's supposed to put up.

Sid always goes widdershins when he chases his tail
I'm gonna limp to the pub and drink 'til the rest of me is as numb as my arse.

I've experimented on cats for years to ascertain their chirality. I've always been unsuccessful though  ???
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!
