Saw my first flutterby yesterday!



He looked ever so cold.

I saw a peacock butterfly today. I think it's the first butterfly I've seen this year.

They've been around here for a while now. This was in the garden on 17th April.

Unfortunately the only spray that kills them (Provado Ultimate Bug Killer) contains neonicotinoids and is probably going to be banned because it's bad for bees - although the real problem is the vast use of neonicotinoids in farming, not just on a few garden lilies.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.
