Found a ferret...
« on: 12 April, 2013, 12:16:56 pm »
Bit of a commotion this am at aoxon towers, as a friendly, well looked-after ferret came sauntering up the path, having been shoed out of the road by a passing driver.  I put it in a large tub using a pair of leather gloves, but it was as placid as anything.  None of the neighbours knew where it might have come from.   Fortunately our vets took it, and said they'd ask around other vets/send it to RSPCA.  I also put a note up on a nearby tree - saying it was with the vets.   I hope the owner finds it, as it's obviously well loved.

 Result.

Vets phoned to say that the owner has made contact, and ferret is being re-united.

Thanks - that's interesting; especially since having the ferret encounter.  The ferret I saw (lighter in colour than yours) certainly seemed like it would be a great pet.

I have three: two polecat-coloured (brown, as in that picture), and one sandy (like a Siamese). More photos here: http://ablogofallthingskathy.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/mugshots.html

I've had a few albinos in the past too, but all the sandys I've encountered have been the friendliest.

Very cute.

I explained to mini ao that a ferret may be tad agitated by the smell and sight of our three dwarf rabbits... and vice versa.

At least the ferret wasn't a steroid crazed poodle impersonator.
