Teenager: I stole 400 bikes in spree (From Swindon Advertiser)

West Swindon is horrendous for bike (and moped) theft.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

One gang responsible for stealing half a cities bikes.
One f*cking gang.

And it's a surprise to the poliz?

I'm sorry, if there's any truth in it I'm sickened.
Sickened on behalf of any coerced into it.
Sickened on behalf of those who have had their bikes nicked. Especially those using their bikes as transport.

Just reminds me of the police failing to show when I spotted my own bike, then having sighted it themselves, did "nothing" about it. And when they 'got' the bloke who had been riding around on it, they still did nothing because he claimed the bike was being repaired at a bike shop and he lived at no fixed abode. No bike. No evidence.

I got more than a faint impression the poliz* couldn't be ar$ed.
