A Murray, 3 set points up in the third set, just shouted “Ow!” and fell over, clutching his knee.

Then got up and won the set

Heartily supporting Christopher Eubanks and the rather comely Elina Svitolina now that the British singles interest has dried up.

We watched 3 matches today. Women’s singles final, so-so. Men’s doubles, not bad. Men’s wheelchair doubles, for the first time on a show court, excellent.

Hmmm, Djokovitch suggests Wimbledon starts earlier. Then he’s not on court at the scheduled start of the final.

Now we’ll see if nerves are an issue.

Aus Open 24

Medvedev & Ruusuvuori still going at it... local time 02:30hrs.  Murray has been vocal about late matches.  Bizarre really, same for both players, but hardly optimal for elite sports people.

Whilst it is sad to see a giant of the game decline, this has been a good tournament. Are we allowed to speak the name ‘Voldemort’ here?
