Sports Personality of the Year 2018
« on: 16 December, 2018, 07:01:31 pm »
About to start with a bit of a different format this year. Not sure what to expect, but can we please have some comments about lack of "personality" for the sake of consistency. Ta.

Despite having quite a likeable "personality", I think G will be a worthy winner!

Unlike previous years where the short list was announced in advance they are only announcing this year's today. Therefore there has been nothing to talk about.

People in the pub are asking me who Harry Kane is.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Didn't see that one coming...
VELOMANCER

Well that's the more blunt way of putting it but as usual he's dead right.

Didn't see that one coming...

Neither did he, by the sounds of it.

Much cheering in pub.  Followed by "What does he do?"

Quite sad to see a colleague and friend on the wall of those we’ve lost this year.
It is simpler than it looks.

Bit of a surprise with G taking the big gong .... I thought Kane would get it.

Superb result but small consolation for him over the SKY news this week.

I always wonder about the demographic of people who vote on these things. Whether it be SPOTY, Sleb, Strictly etc.... Obviously I've never bothered to waste my time or money on voting on such things as I don't want a life time of unsubscribable texts and emails, so who does?
