24 is actually a complete driver assembly; the plate isn't a separate part, which probably explains why it always gets ruined if you try to dismantle the hub completely. It's best to just clean, flush and dry the driver assembly as is.
I think the drag spring on the S-RC3 has the same lockout function for another set of pawls. I didn't look that closely the last time I had mine apart. The LH side of a S-RC3 is quite different to an S-RF3 although the RH side is much the same. One annoyance is that no indicator spindle really fits correctly; I have the super-long axle for 135mm rear spacing imported at great inconvenience from the USA (it's not sold here) and it's supposed to take the Mark 5 indicator according to the specs. Well, that's much too long and a Mark 4 isn't right either; now I put a normal HSA125 in there and adjust it by feel.
