He'll be four months next week. He's growled and yipped but it was higher pitched so I guess he's now a doggy teen and his voice is dropping/dropped.

21" to top of shoulder and today he barked for the first time. A nice deep throaty bark, not loud though. He'd seen a weird* looking cat in the garden next door. After watching it for a couple of minutes he decided it was alien and barked.

* It was a scruffy thing. The front half was ginger and black spots and the rear half was dirty white and black spots.
A cut and shut?  ;D

Indi took a few minutes to get over the white stuff laying on the ground. He's been using the dog flap for a couple of weeks now, the last five days without encouragement and bribery. Today we had to open the door so he could see what was partially blocking the flap. A few tentative steps and he's OK with snow.
Now weighs 22.3kg.

This mornings walk in the local parks was good fun and we both had a good, slightly damp, time.

No! Not even the trainer for two weeks!
No regrets though Indi is keeping me fit and when he's older I'll be able to go out again. If I get a bakfiets he can come along too.  ;D

Good stuff!

You might be impressed that I recognised Indi to be a dog but less impressed when you learn it took me ages to work out what GSD stood for!

Since google changed the way they work I can no longer see images beyond the thumbnail view and so can't get the URLs of the images to display!   Until today when I found that I could see them with the slide show view.

Now at 24.1kg here is Indi in the garden. (the garden is under the white stuff)

Your black bear likes the snow.  Reminds him of his natural habitat...

This morning I was at my mum's and there was a really shit film on telly. I only saw a bit of it but it was something about a yellow dog called Benji looking after some wild cat kittens. At one point Benji had to defend the kittens from a dog/bear that looked just like Indi!

It was this film . The dog that looked like Indi came to a sticky end. Benji tricked it into throwing itself off a cliff.  ::-)

Did he trick him into digging it out first?

I could have called him Tommy Cooper. Dogbear, beardog!

Dogbear beardog has lost his lower left canine, puppy, tooth and the lower right hand side canine is wobbly and mostly looking like a short tusk.

How old is he now?

Poppy had all her adult teeth at six months. She also still had her upper canine puppy teeth that had to be removed by the vet when she was spayed.

He is turning into a very, very handsome dog.  Will he keep his fluffy look, do you think?

Does he enjoy his training?

I've long hankered after a GSD, such clever, good-looking dogs.  You lucky thing.
