Duplicate Strava Apps
« on: 14 October, 2019, 08:52:59 pm »
I got a new mobile phone after handing my old phone back to my employer when I retired last week. I tried to instal Strava on my new phone but forgot that when I installed it I used my TalkTalk email account to set it up. With my new phone I used my Gmail email to set it up. Now I discover that all my data is on the original app so I want to delete the duplicate app. However Strava's notes on what to do are confusing to an IT numpty like me and I am worried that I may inadvertently lose my data when trying to delete the new app. Has anyone got any advice for me?

How many rides have you recorded with the new account?
2019 🏅 R1000 and B1000

I did a ride on Sunday but it did not appear in the new account. I got some kudos from people who are presumably able to see the ride in my previous account.

Strava saves all of your rides on to their servers. Nothing much is stored on your phone. Therefore you just need to log out of the new account and log in to the old one, within the app.

(Profile > Settings Cog > Logout on iPhone. Probably somewhere similar on Android)
