Beryl the duck
« on: 08 April, 2011, 02:35:31 pm »
I have a female duck that has nested by the side of my kitchen door.  She has 12 eggs & I've been feeding her a little bit of bread & leaving her a bowl of water.  The paddling pool is on order from argos

Beryl the duck having some sweetcorn & a bowl of water, you can see the nest she has made & the 12 eggs in the photo  :)

So when do we get the link to the duck-cam?

This is excellent  :)

Bet she felt better after popping all those out though.

We have two ducks that have started to frequent our back yard.
They come up to the back door and knock with their bill to let us know they have arrived - and are hungry.
We have a pair - so maybe one day we will have ducklings too  ;D

For the purpose of this post I had to look up whether it was bill or beak.

The Oxford English Dictionary has this definition of bill:
The beak of a bird, especially when it is slender, flattened, or weak, or belongs to a web-footed bird or a bird of the pigeon family.
