Many, many thanks to the twat who everyday parks his/her car right in front of the entrance
to the towpath.  Usually this means carefully having to squeeze by the snaggy branch bush.
You leaving that lovely scrunched up tenner right next to your car door has made me forgive your ass.

I just spent the weekend in Hungary with my 3 kids and partner. My son is fantastic and great to be with; my eldest 9-year-old daughter gives cause for concern - bullying at school?; but my 3-year-old's unconditional and freely demonstrable love is so wonderful that I can't help but feel a little lost now I'm back home on my own.

They should all be here in the next 6 weeks or so...

I'm leaving in ten minutes to go to Queenstown, New Zealand.
I booked the flight last June and have been counting every minute since then.
I can't believe the time has actually come, at long last.

Byeeeee!

(Due to intense and continuous family pressure, I'm not taking a bike.  :'( :'( )

I couldn't decide whether to post in this or the "Not so..." thread, but my younger daughter put a deposit on a place in a flat yesterday. It's in Green Lanes, looks very nice from the pictures, has a view across the West Reservoir and is close to Finsbury Park.

So our youngest has fled the nest. Can't get rid of the oldest, though... ;)

I'm off work until the day after Easter Monday.

I'm only up this early cos I have appointments with repair men. And maybe I'll try and be on popmaster.

That is good news.

Mine..... *thinks long and hard* was surviving JC's appointment with the OTs this morning after he announced, 'I like my dad better than you and wish he was around instead of you'.  The Lycra body suit will be made, after taking what seemed like a million measurememts from JC and choosing an appropriate colour for a boy of 12 it will be ready in about 3 weeks.  Wish me luck.

Ooh yes.  Best of luck with that process.  It will be long & wearing.  But you know that.  And we will be here.  But you know that too.

Glad I didn't - it was very difficult today. Although I got the Bow Wow Wow answer before she'd finished asking the question.

My boiler is now repaired - it has a new pcb, and the washing machine repair man has ordered some parts and will be back to fit them another day.

Oh, I know, she was really bad at that. I was all confused. Couldn't work out if I'd have won or not.

WE GET A NEW BOILER FITTED TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 6 months of intermittant hot water and heating a plumber has finally listened to me when I said "replace the damned boiler"

At least he's only the third plumber we have had to get to look at it, the other two gave up I think :)
