Cyclehoop - seen any of their installations?
« on: 29 July, 2020, 02:52:22 pm »
We've been sent some details of cycling infrastructure. I wondered if anyone here had seen any of their products in the wild, and if you had any views.

e.g.

It is simpler than it looks.

I've seen the "public bike pump" and "deluxe repair station" in a few locations but never used either.

Loads of them around London. They're fine as far as they go. The pump heads seem to be very vulnerable to the rubber being chewed up by misuse/overuse.

I think you have to allow for regular maintenance and for some of the tools to go walkies, but that would be true of anything.

As above.
ETA - I've never had to make use of them as I'm generally self-sufficient when out and about.
Or on a Brompton.
