I have a cat
« on: 16 July, 2014, 09:14:04 pm »
Some of you may be aware that Mrs Z and I split in April and bought our own houses; the cats stayed with her and the girls because she only moved 30 yards and it seemed cruel to split them up, since they get on very well.  So I was without a cat for the first time in over 16 years.

Today a 1 year old ginger moggy (and he is VERY ginger...he even has a red nose and red pads on his paws) was delivered to me as his current owners - who were in tears - are doing the opposite; moving in together, which involves a dog that doesn't like cats.

He took 40 minutes to start strutting round as if he owns the place.  I think he's a good 'un.

This cat has discovered the mirrored wardrobes in my room.  He is rather vain; he just sits and admires himself.

His name is Twizzle but he's going to be Tigs.  Twizzle is too much like Turkey Twizzlers, really.

Yep - pictures, let's see if this cat is really as handsome as he thinks he is.
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!

Tigs is a good name. Our Tiggy often is called Tigson Major. No idea why.
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

I can confirm that, on this one specific fact, Roger isn't lying - he does actually have a cat. He's* big and ginger and quite friendly, with a worrying Dreamies (aka kitty-crack) addiction and a playful nibble.

Is he some sort of demon vampire cat that it's impossible to take pictures of?

The bedroom mirrors wouldn't be a lot of use then.

Edit: at risk of using a cultural reference, could it be that RZ has take up residence with the Red Dwarf cat?

Roger only takes black and white photo and therefore cannot take a photo of a ginger pussy.

Anyone else got a diabetic cat?  Our cat, Kimmy, is an OAC tabby at 19 years old and has recently been diagnosed, so has insulin injections with her nosh...no hassle really, although she did have a hypoglycemic episode the other night....cured by chopping the needle off an insulin syringe and using the adapted syringe to get honey into her mouth.  It'd be good to know if anyone else has a similar challenge with their mog
DJR (Dave Russell) now retired. Carbon Beone parts bin special retired to turbo trainer, Brompton broken, as was I, Whyte Suffolk dismantled and sold. Now have Mason Definition and Orbea M20i.
