Sorry to hear about Tigger, never an easy decision.

Cats have a great life though, don't they? [Apart from not being able to ride bikes and drink beer]

This is true.  He is currently curled up on the sofa, happy as you like.  And he's got sardines for lunch.  But if we don't do anything he'll be in a very poor way in just a few days.

As much as work has gone mad last week and this, I may have a window of opportunity to get out on Wednesday evening.
Would most likely be a 19:30ish departure from Witham in case any others of this locality are interested in a  blustery, mild(?) & damp ride.
For the sake of suggesting a refreshment location - The Compasses @ 9pm?

I could probably drag myself to the Compasses on Weds.

I'll probably make my way over to the Compasses, though I'll make my own way over rather than start at 7:30. I need to be a bit careful with distances and alcohol for the moment.

You're not alone.  There are a few on here who should be more careful with distances and alcohol - myself included!  In fact, on occasion, anything that involves standing up is potentially dangerous  ;D

....is it too early to mention Easter Arrows and a Cunning Plan to go 'Hyper'?

I'll likely give it a miss tonight. Very low levels until lunchtime today. I don't want to quite chance it just yet and fall in a ditch in the dark! I'll have to do more testing at the weekend :-)

I'm still planning to be out.  Will probably ride direct to/from the Compasses though (the thought of hauling myself up NH with a partially mended rib doesn't appeal much).

How about an 8pm meet at the end of Dancing Dick's Lane if we're taking the direct route to Littley Green?

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Anyone around tonight?  It's looking mild (i.e. not icy) and not too rainy...

I'm thinking about Braintree, perhaps (King Billy or the under-new-management Wagon and Horses).

I probably can't set off until close to 8 p.m., though (maybe 10 to - ish)

I'd like to, but I'm still out. Hypoing all over the place for some reason - bike'n'beer will just make things more unpredictable. Plus I've got a cold which is really irritating!

Thanks chaps. I'm pretty much over the worst of the cold. Also, I had a message back from the diabetes team earlier today saying I'm in the 'honeymoon' period (it's no honeymoon I have to say!!!) - basically my pancreas hasn't quite given up the fight yet, so it's chipping in with a bit of insulin here and there which is causing my levels to drop. So that should clearup soon - also, I hope Google get their act in gear with the bionic contact lens to monitor sugar levels - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-25776927 - one step towards robocop!

Those Google people are clever little fookers aren't they!?!  Perhaps they can upload the Good Beer Guide into a contact lense.  Could be a new take on Beer Goggles!  They could call them Beer Googles  ;D (I should be in marketing!)

I think it will most probably follow Wednesday afternoon.  :P

I may be collecting Vicky Vaya from Gt Dunmow after its 6-week service, so if I am awheel I'll be starting from there.  However, I am currently afflicted with man-flu and the weather forecast for Wednesday doesn't look attractive at the moment.

Is this forward planning? I'm a distinct possibility. Been okay over the last couple of days. Similar to before, a Compasses type pub distance away would be good and I'll join up at the pub.

This Wednesday looks ok for me - but....I'm on something of a detox at the moment, having suffered a bit of a flare-up of my [admittedly still rather slight] arthritis. So, cutting down/out: alcohol, caffeine, red meat and other nice things etc etc.  :(
