Roger Waters, This is not a drill gig in Portland.   Excellent but I didn’t think it was as good as the 2018 tour we saw in Glasgow

So there's a few to catch up on

Lastly (the other night) a curmudgeonly Loudon Wainwright III

Folk rockers Lindisfarne.

And 60 years after The Beatles played the venue, the Bootleg Beatles.

Vorsprung announced that he & his wife were going to see Albert Lee at our local venue.  There were still tickets available so we booked and went along.  Lee had a new band of youngish musicians and they made for an entertaining gig.

Yeah I saw that but I thought it was Poland / venue that cancelled them

It's hard to tell as both angles are being reported, although I did see a report saying Waters was denying he'd cancelled.

Gerry Colvin, formerly of YACF house band Terry and Gerry, ably assisted by Trish Power, playing at Lewes Con Club.  Small venue, small audience who knew All The Words.

Yes, me. In a Con Club. With my reputation. What was I thinking?  Well what I was thinking was the I bet my great grandfather, who was mayor of Lewes in the thirties, probably drank there.  Here he is, adorning my loo.

Saw them in a nightclub in Brighton 98 or 99.   There was a lot of bouncing around and I was a lot younger.

Some photos from the Patax gig I went to last Saturday. Despite the drawbacks (smaller band, not the normal singer or flamenco dancer, no rap -> possibly no bad thing, relatively small audience, about 50%) the venue was great (the Tabernacle, an ex-church at the north end of Portobello Road, mini Roundhouse shaped with a theatre on the first floor) it was a fantastic evening. At one stage, the power on stage went, Jorge Perez (leader) just segued into a Flamenco session, video is here https://youtu.be/e7gjoqcGxyA

and

Valentin Clastrier - solo hurdy-gurdy + electronics

at the Gulbenkian last night.

'Twas absolutely stunning, wonderful, etc.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Ricky Ross in a tiny venue (church) in Billericay last night.   A mix of solo stuff and Deacon Blue songs all done solo in piano or guitar.   Interspersed with readings from his new book.

Support from Hannah White who came back on for the encore and duetted or sang backing vocals on the last few tracks.

2.5hrs of entertainment for 30 quid.   Great night.

General Levy in the the Subscription rooms.

An utterly shit night. Unbelievably shit in fact. So shit that the night even included me buying Keith Allen a pint. Not out of any need to ingratiate myself with him but out of sympathy.

Imagine that. Me, Hot Flatus,  buying Keith a pint out of sympathy. That's  how shit that night was.

So shit Jaded couldn't even be arsed. Even when it's his job. That shit.

Shit.
