Sorry to disappoint Clarion, but one way or another that bike is coming home with me on Friday.  :D

Particularly now that Docsquid has supplied a ground anchor and chain to secure it in the garage.

Ah, never mind.  I hope you enjoy it (and I bet you can't resist riding it ;) ).

Good plan on the security

I went into a bookshop today and saw a book about growing herbs. I didn't actually look at it, let alone buy it, but it reminded me of one the things I want to do.

Doubtful. I'm going to that London for the big TUC march and invited myself to stay with them that night and they're too polite to say know. We're going to invite all the southern forum wimmin to get together and have a YACF feminist get-together and set up a Feminist Cool Wall and allocate all the men to places on it.*

I'm aiming for a 3 or 4pm train back on the Sunday so maybe we could all get together for a big lunch somewhere. With cake.

Indeed.  Well, not the door knob part.  None of them really latch[1] so I'm putting my longer arms and minor height advantage to use by opening/closing them with a bit barakta can't reach.  Separate hand towels in the bathroom is the big one.

Though I'm feeling pretty headachy, lethargic and generally cruddy.  So I suspect I've caught it anyway and am merely escaping without the dramatic symptoms.

Fill pots with compost. Sprinkle seeds. Water. Put somewhere sunny (e.g. windowsill). Repeat watering as needed. Pick herbs when they grow.

Works for me.

I'm seriously contemplating going on that march. I'm not a member of a trade union, but, solidarity, bruvvers & sisters!

Sure, I know it's not hard, done it before. We used to have a basil plant which grew for about three years on the kitchen windowsill, our son who was about two at the time liked to pick the leaves and eat them.  :) It's just that this time I need to get a windowsill first...

I've got a bra that could do with burning.  Bastard thing's gone evil.

Couldn't you use it to light your wood-buning stove in case of a prolonged kettling?

If you were kettled with a burning bra and woodburning stove, you'd obviously need... tea!

Sadly my woodburning stove is still on the to-do list.  But I don't think I'd want to get kettled with it anyway, as I'm sure it counts as an offensive weapon.

I think we should force the Met to wear a badly-fitting bra, perhaps with a rogue underwire that slips out every so often and makes you think you're having a heart attack til you realise what it is. Then they'd know what an offensive weapon actually is.

I'd really appreciate it if you could do me a favour and take my brain with you. I don't need it tomorrow, so I'll overnight it to you and pick it up in the evening. Is that ok?
