Much blowage here today.
The market traders in Brick Lane were struggling to keep their stalls in Brick Lane when I went there for my breakfast this morning.

Sahara sand blowing over again. Not as thick as last time, in March a couple of years ago. Sky's covered in what looks like dirty yellow-white blancmange.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Just had occasion to visit the kitchen at 4 am, where the OAT gauge shows it's currently 4⁰ outside. Apparently it will be 20⁰ in the next couple of days, though last weekend's forecast of something similar was very over-optimistic. But, just to ring the changes, there may be a several of wet between now and Friday. Oh, the garden will rejoice...

On Friday the Met Orifice said 10 dry days in store for York.  Saturday morning was nice but then it rained and all last night it must have tipped it down, lakes sprung up everywhere.  Today it's forecast to rain, but at least after that York has 10 dry days in store.

Just been watching our willow-tree's fronds lashing about in the wind.  Time we had it trimmed again.

Apart from getting drenched this morning going to the bank we have had a fair amount of sunshine and a couple of short heavy showers in the afternoon. Oh and there's been a bit of a breeze to  ;)
the slower you go the more you see

I was lucky to get home.
Greater Angrier services into LST are mostly banjaxed thanks to a fallen tree taking out overhead power lines.

Very windy in York now. Torrential downpour next?

Wet & windy here too, but the wind has backed SW so we're under the lee of a big hill.  The willow is breathing a sigh of relief and combing its hair.

Tornados reported in the Midlands. No, not the aircraft.

A number of trees down around the village this morning, including one which landed on the roof of the local coffee shop.

The tree surgeons are certainly busy.

Earlier we had a hailstorm.

Hailstorm started when I was about 150 yards from home. Sheltered in a garage for a few minuted 'til at abated and only a bit damp.
Now, that pint - or chatting to workmen - might have been unwise in retrospect.
