No serious rain for two years until this March so this mill bridge on the Guadiana would normally be submerged under the northern reaches of the Alqueva reservoir

That's the prototype for BSJ's Scotland - NI crossing. We paid Dido Harding £15 billion for that.

We never had a sovereign wealth fund, because Thatcher (spits) decided the North Sea oil cash would do far more good in the pockets of her backers in the City than it would were it to be used to Improve The Lot of non-shareholders.  Some of whom probably voted Labour.
