Garmin removes Edge 605/705 3.2 firmware!

Garmin have removed the firmware version 3.2 for it's Edge 605/705 from their website. Follow this link and go to the last page for downgrade instructions if you are experiencing problems with 3.2.

3.2? pah! it killed my 705. The one they replaced it with has 3.1 on and support er, agreed when I said I'd not be upping this to 3.2.

Thanks for the warning, I always wait at least a couple of months for others to try out the new firmware. I'm not waiting for any specific fix for my 705 so I is happy as I am.

Thanks for the heads up. I've had a couple of glitches with 3.2. The first was when I punched in a 'where to' which caused a reset and the other was a revisit of the gradient going blank mid-ride. heigh ho!

3.2 sucked. It was OK at first, then it screwed up the recording of the last day of Pedal to Paris (it got the mileage right, but the track stops way out- oh, and apparently there was only 15 mins riding time!) and recorded another couple of rides without the track at all, though again mileage was OK. So reverted to 3.1, which has behaved so far.

If the ride history isn't under Menu-History then no. However you might still see the tcx files when connected to PC and use Training Centre/Tracklogs/other software to view them.

It didn't work for me, seeing files under History, when I copied downloaded tcx files back to my History folder.

If the ride history isn't under Menu-History then no. However you might still see the tcx files when connected to PC and use Training Centre/Tracklogs/other software to view them.

Ta, thought that was the case (when I downgraded I got the warning from the updater, and sure enough...). My history's still there, the whole lot's on Connect & two copies of TC as well.
