Title: Tandem Campag-compatible gear cables?
Post by: LittleWheelsandBig on 28 May, 2018, 03:28:23 pm
The audax tandem has Campag Ergolevers and Gore gear cables. They work fine now but they will need replacing eventually (hopefully not before the ACME Grand). I have a spare SS tandem gear cable for on-the-road replacement but I'm not entirely sure it is Campag-compatible. I would prefer to fit something as good as the Gore cables when these ones start to die anyway.

Are there nicer Campag-compatible tandem gear cables out there or do I need to go the coupled-cables route? If I couple a pair of solo bike cables, I can't use a fully lined cableset like the Gore cables.

We have used (and still use!) Fibrax gear and brake cables on Campagnolo levers, without any problem.

The Fibrax PTFE Teflon coated cables? Top quality - we've used them a lot.
