What to do?
« on: 06 January, 2009, 03:31:10 pm »
I seem to have a spare hour.  Do I

1.  Go for a run in the cold and try not to break a leg on the slippery stuff
2.  Ride to the pool and go for a swim
3.  Do some housework
4.  Sit in the warm, make another cup of tea and cuddle the cat, whilst promising myself to do at least one of the above tomorrow?

I'm being drawn towards option 4...

Make a seed cake and while it's baking you can do number 4.

After the stories shared on this forum will anyone ever again name their cat (or any pet) Montezuma?
;D  Andrij.  I pronounce you Complete and Utter GIT

I advise against it.  Nominative Determinism is an affliction that I didn't think I needed to worry about with a mere domestic pet.

How wrong I was

Combine 1 and 2 ie run to the pool and then swim. That will mean you can have guilt free double helpings of the cake mentioned above!

I concur. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern was a poor choice of names for ferrets, as it seemed to adversely affect their life expectancies.

It's a bit too far to run there and back, particularly with a swim in the middle.  I'm working on that, though.  Hopefully by March.  :)

I think I'll get up early tomorrow (stop laughing at the back) and swim, then ride to work.  Maybe.

Why is January so bloody cold and dark and miserable and energy-sapping?

Any future pet is getting named Abnormally Healthy Specimen.  ;D

Sadly Nelson had already been named for us, otherwise I was going to impose the rule that all future pets be called "The Doctor".  8)

I've just done your option 1 - well, my version of it.

A glorious, glorious run o'er icy fields and still, frosted woods and hills, with crystal-clear views to the mountains :)

It's tme for almonds and miso soup, now.

Takes me until it's a bit light before I can face the combos too.

I see that you chose 5: Dither on the internet until you're out of time.  Good call.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Bit late with this one, but I'd recommend:

6.  Ride to the pool.  Turnround, ride straight back, and you'll have time for that cup of tea.

Still, it's there for next time.
Getting there...
