I'm boycotting it, as they're allowing Israel to be in the competition (whose act has backed the genocidal actions of the IDF).

My daughters are doing the same even though they normally love it, and adore Olly Alexander, too. Personally I've been boycotting it for about 30 years.

The article does seem to be entirely US-focused so it's possible that over here, the Subway smell is simply just their very strange bread-type sandwich product.

I’m on my way but expect to be SLOW as I’m totally out of condition.  If nothing goes wrong I might make it by Friday evening.   Looking at their website there were plenty of pitches available at the weekend.

If I was ever considering this, I no longer am. Birthday party in the Forest on Saturday, "stewarding" at an event on Sunday, gosh, what an exciting weekend, ect, ect, and so on.

Absolutely top notch case of gremlins last night.

Happened again while I was away.  Killed the Unifi controller container on a whim, which may or may not have helped.

Restored the original pfsense/switch config this morning, and for a while saw a similar DHCP problem (with all the unifi stuff shut down) that was resolved by kicking unbound on the pfsense box.  I've decided I'm too old for this shit and have pushed the button on a FB2900.  A decision that I'm unlikely to regret once my bank account has recovered.

I'm back from the Lake District (where it rained) via the midgefest of Delamere Forrest (where pre-emptive application of DEET on the return trip started to dissolve my cycling mitts).  Will give this proper consideration once I've dealt with the considerable backlog of Stuff that needs doing now I have a real computer, and have dried all my kit out.

Has anyone apart from PB booked a pitch?

It would be Friday and Saturday nights at the most, though.  Barakta only just got me back.

If you have the premium version of OS Maps then you can create, save and download maps for offline use (with or without routes).

Yes, but it does that select-a-limited-area-for-download rubbish.  Memory-Map and the late, lamented Viewranger let you download all the OS regions in one go, which means you've always got the right map in your pocket.  I ditched the OS app in favour of Memory-Map for this reason.
