I will be putting in an appearance, but I think my only slot is Friday night.  (Well, I could do Thursday, but the BF won't have started then, which would be a shame)

Back in time for MIldenhall on Bank Hol Monday, though

Enjoy the Beer Festival

I'm doing nutty hours at work at the moment but have secured tomorrow off as compensation

Oaky, you do realise it's real ale you'll be drinking and not that super strength foreign stuff you're used to?  Might be worth taking an extra big wallet of cash and a bucket to save your feet with the many lav visits :P

Bloomers, will you be getting your puppies out?

Tomsk we needed you along to keep things sensible, I foresee carnage

After seeing this:-

...and I'll be there on saturday afternoon with the family....

... I checked with the boss and it seems that I will also be there on Saturday afternoon, also en-famille.

My arrival time Friday night will depend on what time we get back from a family sightseeing trip to That London.

It seems that Master H quite fancies a ride over to The Compasses so we will most probably be putting in a Saturday afternoon appearance too (hope there's some beer left!)

I'm likely to be the only Withamite to be around this week and I'm overdue a Wednesday evening ride; I'd be happy to take custody of the baton and show it the delights of Witham.
Where do you suggest we meet, bobb?

Its probable I'll be free for a drink or two - I need to gargle away the dust from the major shed + coalbunker demolition thats going on here. [Is there anything quite as nice as a new shed ? The first squeeze of a new tube of toothpaste just doesn't compare. Is there an emoticon for :whimsical:?]

Will you be holding some sort of shed dedication ceremony, a bit like they do with new churches?  I think in these enlightened times there's no need to sacrifice goats or deflower virgins so it shouldn't be too difficult to organise for a man of your calibre.  Of course, we expect your new shed to be beautifully painted!

Well, I won't be going out tonight now. However, as North Hill is beloved of MEMWNSers, you'll be delighted to know that next Tuesday evening is the Chelmer's annual hill climb event!

See you on the start line  ;D

The new shed is going to be tasteful  :) The one it replaced we just called 'The Yard Store', another was christened 'The Chamber of Secrets' by Jake, which I have to keep rigorously locked to stop offspring using nice tools as light-sabres and filling it up with banana skins and worse!

Another work in progress: I've been re-laying the concrete floor, insulating, lining and generally tarting up an old workshop at the bottom of the garden, which is very wonky but structurally sound, so a bit of a challenge - right at the 'extreme sports' end of my DIY skills. Some sort of shed/studio-warming party may happen eventually...

I wonder if there is a prize for the slowest person that was actually trying as opposed to trying to come last.  What time does it start?

Subject to last minute hitches or work getting in the way I will be there, although not necessarily at 1815.  Perhaps we can do the Baton handover?  ;D

Baton can indeed be handed over. What do you intend to do with it?!

I think we need to ensure it gets in the beer stained paws of as many MEMWNS addicts as humanly possible.  Once it has been thoroughly abused we can let it leave our region.  How does that sound?

Right - the hill climb tonight is actually a Ford CC event, so not doing it. Might go over at some point in the evening, might not.

Steve - just say what night you want me to hand the baton over and I shall be there. Any evening this week is good for me...

What about The Wheatsheaf at Writtle tomorrow evening?
