Psyclist was hoping for a more westerly venue and we did miss last week's proposed trip out west.

Forward Planning Alert - does anyone fancy the 6 Day London event ?  The Wednesday would be the 24th of October.  It's about £20 a ticket but we would have to book soon to ensure sitting together.

I'm interested in the 6 Day event. Not sure how you want to arrange it, but if you pay up front I'll paypal or bank transfer the money owed.

Re westerly venue, I'm happy to sit out when it's too far easterly, and try to make it when the venue is more central or even out west.

I might take the bike in tomorrow and Swing by the POW on the way home. Should be a good carrying capacity test for the barbag! #creasedshirt

I'm a DNS  :(.
Feeling urgh and shattered. It'll be a battle to not be passed by Boris bikes on the way to the station this evening and not even the thought of Kasteel Rouge is appealing.
Early night needed.

Enjoy yourselves.

The archives have these:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19288937 via TMNH
https://ridewithgps.com/trips/20031695 via Market Hill (probably without the flooded closed road diversion)
Any preference for the few that are actually going to be at the roundabout?

For anyone (jibers) thinking about eating at the PoW, our Spiritual Home Landlord is currently on the Essex R&R 200k as a helpers' ride and planning to dine there too, I suggested arriving about 8pm would be a good time to eat.

If a preferred route is known can it be shared here and I'll wait at TMNH or try and intercept en-route? ;D

Witty.  I have a tummy bug, I'll spare you the details  :sick:  Lest any of you were concerned, I think I'm on the mend, no need to send 'fandango round, I'd say I've cheated death by the narrowest of margins  :smug:

In the absence of any other decision, not fancying the Maldon traffic this evening and that Jem has taken to her sick bed, we will use the TMNH route
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/19288937 usual time at the GA.
We could divert via East Hanningfield to extend the distance unless we want an early arrival again this week.

A request from our Western division for a location more in that direction for the coming Friday - I was thinking either:

3 horseshoes Dutton Hill (but no food, so no good for me);

Cock Inn HBO;

OR given it's summer and their will be a guaranteed stonking tailwind home, there was a brewery in Sawbridgeworth http://www.thegatepub.com/ which has been on the list to visit for somewhile....

or what else?  Something to debate at the ACME control tomorrow...

I’m away in Bournemouth this weekend so won’t be able to discuss in person, but am happy if you can agree somewhere suitably ‘central’. Hopefully we can also get Elliot and Bernster out.

So I make it circa 40km from Witham (38km from Chelmsford) to Sawbridgeworth (Spa RBT, Terling, Little Waltham, Leaden Roding, White Roding, Hatfield Heath, Sawbridgeworth)
35km from Witham (30km from Chelmsford) to HBO (Spa RBT, Terling, Little Waltham, Leaden Roding, White Roding, HBO)

A tailwind return potentially

I don't know about food at The Gate but I do know it's pie night at HBO.

HBO closer for Withamits

HBO this Wednesday then?  Who is turning up??
Regards,

Joergen

HBO is such a perfect location with a fine selection of ales, so of course I’d be able to make it on Wednesday  :)
