I was wondering where the MEMWNS might find itself on Wednesday 21st December?
A quick check tells me it would find itself in the year 2033.

Oh yeah  ::-) ;D

Since my post earlier today I have been placed on gardening leave so what's the plan for this Wednesday?  NB - it's gotta a be local and I need to find all my kit including a working bike.

Welcome to the semi-retired club OD! (Just been sorting out my bus pass application, don't know if that is a good or bad thing ...)

Local-ish, central-ish (for Witham) this Wednesday? Where haven't we been recently - King Billy, Braintree; Cross Keys; White Notley?

Actually, TCMR has suggested a gardening leave celebration on Wednesday evening so perhaps next Wednesday for my re-entry?

Gardening leave.....that would be nice.

I can do either location on Wednesday night.   I'm FHM Wednesday and have a late start on Thursday.

Just to confirm this is the King William IV on the London Rd just South of the A120 ?    Looks a bit more not Notley than Braintree to me so just making sure.

Tomsk - can I trouble you for a couple of mudguard stickers ?   I've just finished a couple of bikes that are sadly lacking the correct logo.

The King Billy must be just on the parish boundary - it is listed as a Braintree address, despite being adjacent to the start of Black Notley. (Just had a look at the Essex parish maps online - Braintree is relatively small and odd shaped compared to say Bocking or Dunmow, which are typical amorphous blob-shapes.)

I'll bring a selection of ACME and AUK stickers tomorrow.

I’m available to ride. Just need a chat with Fred. I was in the garage on Sunday wrestling with an outboard motor and a vaguely familiar voice was heard to say “Oi, who the fuck are you?”

I dont think I'll make a 6pm meet, esp if it involves rush hour route to Witham.  I'll have to travel direct I guess.

Currently showing freezing fog from 17:00 here, I'll review closer to the time, might swap 2 wheels for 2 feet and head up the road for a beer to at least get out of the house.

Hmmm, can't see that on the Witham or Braintree forecasts?  :-\

It's not been above 2 here all day, shed roof still frozen and still frost on the garden in the shade!

Optimistic forecast...

Car in ditch bottom of a hill out this way. Couple awaiting rescue truck to pull it out.  Still ice on road in places and ditto frosted and iced roofs and fences and verges etc.

Or I could wrestle spiked tyres on to Fred?  It’s not like I have anything pressing to do this afternoon!

I've just been out for a while and it wasn't too bad.   No obvious ice.

Even had time for a brief chat with our favourite landlord.

Don't tell me that!  I've just spent an hour faffing about fitting spiky tyres to Fred!  Had them in the loft for years and never used them although should have at Epiphany in January.

I can get to the King Billy about 8 ?   It's not like it's a long ride.
