75. After some srsly brane-warping studying of the TfL list of stations.

Now to get on with something productive.  Such as sleep.

It has that effect, doesn't it?  :)

I will give all answers in exchange for carbon fibre, titanium or, at worst (and I'm being really cheap here) cash.

Wrong Jack Russell. The one after whom the dog was named. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Russell_Terrier refers (the Jack is a nickname)

An hour was lost last night after Butterfly clicked on the link just as we were going to switch off & go to bed.

I suspect more brain-wrangling will happen tonight.

I think I've done reasonably well for someone who has been to London a total of about 5 times, but I'm stumped now on these:

The glue in the road

The bride on the hill

The footballer

Hints gratefully received.

It's not about the bride, but what she's doing.

I only got the bride on the hill when I started thinking about London stations I've heard of, which included running through the Monopoly squares in my head.

Bobb and I have now got all of them except the bale of hay on the hill. I did wonder if it was ox-food circus, but it's not.

Got to 50, but it's hard work for a foreigner to guess them, even with the spoilers.

The bale of hay is a candidate for the "I didn't know it was pronounced like this" thread.

I got 65 a couple of days ago, then went to sleep but of course I hadn't saved it. Still can't get the last ten.

It's not about the bride, but what she's doing.

It's also easier if you don't think she's standing next to a hatstand

I thought that one was fairly straightforward as that is how I have always pronounced it.

it didn't help that the splodge of glue looked like a rasher of
bacon though. 62 done.

With the glue one I couldn't get beyond thinking it was Crappy Rub Sniff (or more accurately Krapy Rub Snif, which is Finsbury Park backwards). OK I knew it wasn't right but it was like the equivalent of an ear worm every time I tried to think about it....

Heh. I was working at Krapy Rub Snif last night. It will always be that now. And wet. And cold.

The lady in the Little Black Dress has a large wig. And a finger in her ear. But I can't find Earwig St. Perhaps itgot swallowed up when they did the Jubilee Line extension.

I got the glue one fairly easily. Still haven't a clue about the footballer. Different minds work in different ways I guess, plus you're more likely to get ones which refer to stations  whose names you're familiar with.

I wasted ages with the footballer on the incorrect assumption that the clue required some obvious-to-people-who-know-anything-about-football factoid, probably related to the colour of his kit.

The lady in the Little Black Dress has a large wig.

's lunnon slang, innit. Hardly fair on those without an upbringing outside of the sound of Bow Bells - it will have been far over their heads..

The lady in the Little Black Dress has a large wig.

Concentrate your attention on the areas which respond with the "Double click to guess" prompt.
The lady in the black dress is (mostly) not one of them.
