Satmap Map Sale

I got an email from Satmap telling me that they have a small sale on some of their mapping.  I guess it's the time of year when people are least likely to be doing much walking and/or cycling, or aren't planning much for those activities, so sales are down for a while.

The only things they seem to be discounting are the London A-Z map which is £40 down from £60, which may make it worth getting, and the National Trails Premium mapping which all seem to be down from £100 to £50 (these have the areas of the relevant trails at both 1:25000 and 1:50000).

and wiggle seem to have the national parks down to £80 and the unit + bike mount for £270.

I'd still want the more general 50k maps and they still feel expensive...

The small 1:50000 maps, like a single county for £30 seems expensive to me as well.  I bought "Great Britain 3: Southern 1:50000" for £100 or so (it's £120 on the Satmap shop at the moment), which seems like much better value for money.

£180 for Devon at 1:25000 is expensive...

You can also buy this stuff through Cotswold Outdoor and use your 15% CTC discount (at least in store).

The 1:25,000 mapping is ridiculously expensive but I think the full UK mapping for 1:50,000 is reasonable (considering just how many paper maps that represents)

I thought I was going to disagree, but I've just been upstairs and counted the paper maps I've actually got and the prices for southern and full UK are about the same as the paper. So, the problem is only that I've paid for the paper ones already ... and Mrs Dan thinks I've got an unhealthy interest in maps as it is 

I still want one, obviously!
