Actually that would make an interesting summer ride.

And I'm not just saying that because of the many pubs!  Honest!

I've been thinking that.  We've been to the Compasses at Littley Green and Pattiswick already and regularly drive past the one at Great Totham.

Unfortunately the fuckwits that own the Pattiswick and GT hostelries did the pub signs wrong and painted north, south east west compasses not mason type compasses.  When I pointed this out to a waiter at Pattiswich his eyes glazed over!  ::-)

I used to go to the one at Littley Green often when I was younger. Do they still do those massive Huffers?

Right. *Leaves for Witham*
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

According to the 6 O'Clock News tonight we will enjoy the brightest full moon for 15 years - cloud cover permitting.

OK - I'll keep my trousers on to give it a chance.

DtB has arrived.

Very fine pub, with good beer and food (although Fatters' chicken was a little fowl, so he changed it for a turkey). Spiffing company, and the time just seemed to slide away.

Just got back. Very enjoyable evening

The ride back was really good. We only just missed out on an extra pint in Broomfield. If we'd left 5 minutes earlier we'd have been in!!

Still, I'm sitting here with a cup of tea admiring my jar of pickled eggs! I might even eat one now  ;D

Good beer, for the most part, good food, for the most part, and excellent company.
Here is the handing over of the eggs.

(c)Dez, it must be coz it's in focus. I'll add the other good (c)Dez pics to the YACF jersey thread later.  ;)

Can I just say that it's bloody windy out there. Glad we aren't trying to cycle home against it!

Another good evening for all the reasons already stated.  Thanks to everyone that attended and it was great to meet Dez for the first time, what a nice chap.

I already looking forward to the next ride scheduled for January / February time down Southend way.

More good news! The dodgy chicken hasn't poisoned me!  I had visions of spending the night in the bathroom.  :-\

It might have got Erron though!

Serves him right for trying to poison ME with a pint of Girlsberg!
