Mrs. T gave me a Go-Pro knock-off for my birthday ten days ago.  Being prone to Shermer's Neck I'm planning to mount it on an extension under the bars, but to clear the HB bag I might have to mount it upside-down.

Does the panel know of a video editor that will invert videos?

If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is...

Jesus wept.  Maybe I should have looked there before asking.  Cheers.

Sure it won't invert it, itself?  A GoPro will, as they are often mounted downside up.

Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

Ahah... apparently not.  The rudimentary instructions are no help.  There is a menu item "Rotation" which flips everything on its head but no "automatic" option.

Delving into the firmware revision reveals that this thing calls itself an SJ6000, not a 5000 as I thought, and is a knock-off of the SJ4000.

I keep thinking of Jesuits.

I think most will.

I've got a sj4000 that is set to be permanently upside down 'cos of how it's attached to the bike.

I doubt any have an Automatic option.

Just select the "Rotation" option.

GoPro Hero 4 has auto rotation. Though none of the older versions do.
Easy enough to set the menu option anyway. Plus check the preview on your phone, to make sure it is the right way up.

Either way Windows Movie Maker has a rotate button if you forget to rotate it on the camera.

I've used it to correct footage from my Smart Phone (which has an annoying habit of auto-orienting itself exactly how I didn't want).

Cycling videos are much more interesting upside down.

Mental picture of what might happen if Graeme Obree built a bike for Danny MacAskill...
