Title: Asus UX21E Repair Torx Size?
Post by: Martin109 on 04 June, 2020, 05:08:50 pm
I would like to try and repair the faulty charge port on this Asus UX21E Zenbook, but the first step is to undo the 10 torx screws to release the back, only I don't know what size they are.  Does anyone know?

Just buy a set. It will be less frustrating. You can get bit sets with dozens of sizes for between £10 and £50 depending on what quailty you want. Will pay for itself in no time as you can guarantee the next time you need to undo something it will be a different size you need.

Silverline set - cheap £11.15 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silverline-633840-Screwdriver-Bit-Set/dp/B000QB2XDK/ref=psdc_1939294031_t3_B01GZWT5FW)

Bacho set - mid price £21.99 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bahco-Bit-Set-100teilig-59-S100BC/dp/B072M3XTSW/ref=sr_1_10?dchild=1&keywords=torx+screwdriver+set+bahco&qid=1591288231&sr=8-10)

Wera set - spendy £42.65 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wera-05057127001-Bit-Safe-Universal-pcs/dp/B003JKL034/ref=sr_1_26?dchild=1&keywords=wera+bit+set&qid=1591288627&sr=8-26)

Thanks.

I actually found out eventually from a YouTube video - it's T4, and I've ordered one.  I take your point about acquiring a set, and I may well do that in the future, if I survive this job!
