Fujin = cycling joy. For the lighter rider though.

Just a shame it's made by Challenge.

I'm now light enough to ride it  - without any luggage though...  :(

Perhaps I should but it and use it as a dietary aid.

I just followed your link & found this: Challenge Fujin SL (http://www.challenge-recumbents.com/html/picturepopup.php?picture=images%2Ffotos%2Ffujinsl%2Ffoto-005.jpg&quality=87&size=100%25&type=0&show_info_tags=1&sort=1&repeat=&taal=en) what gear is that guy riding; look at the rear mech!
Back to the topic, if anyone has £1280 lying around, can I suggest that this is a stunning deal...

You can use all the sprockets with all the chainrings on a rear-wheel drive recumbent; chain angle is not an issue when the distance from the idler to the cassette is at least double the chainstay length of an upright.

I'm aware of the chain angle issue, however, when I bought my Fujin SL, I was strongly advised against riding in gears like that since the rear mech isn't supposed to like it.  He must be riding in something like 53-30 which seems a little odd on a wide range cassette...

IME, current rear mechs don't object to having their springs stretched as those of a few years ago did, as long as the chain isn't so short as to cause damage. Not that I would ride around in 53x27 all the time...

Pity I didn't see this earlier, I would have been seriously tempted!
