Poll

Will Cavendish win the TdF points competition this year?

Yes! He's getting better every year and this year he has the experience needed to scrap for the minor points as well as stage wins.

No! He's unbeatable on the flat stages but will lose out in the hills.

Maybe. It depends if the cheeky monkey gets himself disqualified.

Will Cav be wearing green in Paris?

I think he'll do it. He's getting better while his main rivals are just getting older.

"mouthy shite", is that really necessary?

Can't vote with those poor options.

He's always had the experience to scrap for points, he lacked the will.

And have you forgotten the rule changes for points this year? The new single intermediate sprint point will carry shed-loads of points in addition to those on offer at the finish line.

I'm a huge fan of Cav. It was meant to be tongue in cheek. But I've edited the wording to tone it down.

Anyway, it's only a silly online poll. It's not important.

And yes, I had forgotten the rule changes to the points competition. Tbh, I don't know if that will improve or reduce his chances. Like you say, he's lacked the will to go for minor placings in the past but that's kind of what I meant by inexperience. He knows what he needs to do to get it now.

There's always the possibility, who knows. In the wacky world of sprinting there is so much danger of crashing involved that any outcome is possible. I suppose, performance-wise, he might be hitting his peak? Would that be true?
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

Hope not. He was a complete w@nker when Mrs JT asked for his autograph the day before Paris-Roubaix.

He may be, but he is an excellent points rider, who can climb.

Now there's a point.  What reason will the commissaires find to dock him points this time?:
