Sainsbury's Porter - Brewed by Shepherd Neame - rather a decent drop - and on special offer at the moment.

Tesco has a 4 for £5 offer on ales at the moment. I know, I know, but the offer includes all the expensive stuff they normally don't discount, so I'm off there tomorrow to splash out a little for my impending 2 1/2 weeks of peace & quiet...

Right now? Hot lemonade with whisky in it. It was recommended at work last night by someone I'd never met before, who said, "Hi, I'm Lindsay. I don't want to be rude, but you look like shit."

I like her a lot, 'specially as her recommendation is really really nice. I still have a cold. I just don't mind so much.

Tonight I have been slurping...
a) RCH Pitchfork 4.3% - v.nice, clean and bitter, as always (on since Tuesday, at least)
b) Art Brew Smokey Bastard 5.5% - disappointing, flat, no body (fresh barrel)
c) RCH Double Header 5.3% - last pint, not as good as Sunday or Tuesday, but in fine fettle nevertheless
d) Hoggley's IPA 5% - A bit more body and a bit less bitter than (a), good enough for another (replacement for c)

50% strike rate on "does it exist in the 2011 GBG?"

A couple of Gold Label no1 barley wines and now on to Robinsons old Tom. It claims to be the worlds best beer. Its not, and I can't think of many beers at 8.5% with less flavor, but its not bad.
