A rather nice Klosterbryg in the Sogaard brewery in Aalborg. This might take some effort to stick to the plan of one beer, some food and an early night.

Only because:
a) I am down South
b) the only bitter the bar has is Boddies on draught.
c) I can't see me being able to find Copper Dragon anywhere down here (go to a pub anywhere past Birmingham and ask for it, you are almost gauranteed blank looks)
d) The last time I tried a Southern beer, it was pants, and actually tasted better when it had travelled (this is going back some 20 years, the beer in question was Exmoor Gold, tasted like the liquid run-off from a recently fertilised field down in Exmoor, but was nectar when tried back up in Ripon, go figure)

which just goes to show that some landlords will keep on selling even a local beer when it's gone off, especially in a touristy area where they know that most of the customers won't be back whatever.

Just about to open a bottle of Muriel , a Spanish red from Majestic.
What with the budget coming up I figure that booze is only going to get more expensive in the short term. It might be worth stocking up with stuff you like if you can get it at a decent price at the moment.

Or start making your own! (Beer that is. I'd still rather leave the grapey stuff to the pros). Nowadays it can be as good as, or better than the beer you buy in the boozer.
