St Peter's Best Bitter.

Having developed rather a taste for Thwaites Triple C and their porter I find that I can no longer get it. Curses. However, I visited Tesco in Tenterden yesterday and they had a good selection of bottles from Langhams amd Arundel Breweries in Sussex, neoither of which I am familiar with so I have a selection to try over the next couple of weeks.

Sherston's Truly Scrumptious Vintage Quality Cider. It's not bad but not that special really - and opening the bottle was a task! Plastic screwtop seemed to have been shrunk on to the bottle - had to cut it off with a penknife, stabbing my finger in the process.

Geene King IPA Gold. really quite nice, better than their standard offering.

I stocked up a little yesterday for Christmas, laying in a stockette of my favourite Thwaites Tavern Porter; there was a good deal on Jennings' ales at Lidl where they were knocking them out at 99p a bottle against £1.89 at Morrisons.

Celt Experience Brewery "Bleddyn 1075". Read the label "strong pale ale... generously hopped..." Boom! Full-on American-style hoppy IPA. Very nice indeed.
