Still feeling a trifle languid after last night's bottle of Kanonkop Kadette , normal price £10 a time , but with Sainsbury's current 25% off 6 bottles or more it's a gift at £7.50
Great for a discount hound like me. I think I'll nip round for some more if/when the rain stops.

Black Yunnan with a little drop of milk.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

A dangerously drinkable 2006-vintage Carta Roja Monastrell Gran Reserva, which was just the thing for washing down tonight's medium-rare lump of ribeye steak.

Coffee, for the first time in a fortnight I've actually felt like a coffee in the morning.

Pint of instant decaff.  Sure it's crap but a pint of espresso would be a little too much.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

It's homeopathic IPA.

Black Wolf Big Red. I was bought a variety four pack as a thank you present. It is all right but a bit artificially gassy (rather than live yeast gassy). Still think my first IPA home brew was pretty dammed good compared to filtered sterile craft beer.

Testing the home brew. Quite bitter and citrus, absolutely perfect for a hot summer evening after a good ride. It's tipping it down and I've not been out on the bike.

A lovely drink but a bit hard to find.

I really like spritz at the moment - 1/3 Aperol (11% alcohol campari-type stuff), 1/3 Proseco, 1/3 soda, with a slice of orange.

Other than that, anything hoppy for beer - Hopping Hare etc.

FUBAR from Tiny Rebel in Newport is lovely stuff with rose-flavoured hops and has just won Welsh beer of the year 2014.
