An excellent inch of Yrgacheffe.  Except that it's gone now.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Lots of coffee, in an attempt to feel human.

This is due to, last night, having drunk;
2 pints Celtic Pride (very very nice)
4 glasses Vina Sol.
2 glasses Rioja.
1 very large rum (Mathusalem 7 year old*)

I refused the Sambuca and Tequila shots.

*I ordered it in English to make sure I asked for 7yr old, not 7 arseholes.

I forgot to mention, but I have a Ginvent calendar. Behind every door is a 30 ml measure of junipery goodness.

You sir, are a lucky bastard. Humph.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

Blame my wife, she bought it for me. I got her a bottle of Ungava gin because it looks a bit like reindeer pee, and so I feel is justly festive.

A bottle of Wychwood Black Wych. I enjoy drinking porter in the winter and this one isn't bad at all, a lovely warming smoky flavour. Recommended.

Pomegranate juice and tonic water.  Tart with a bit of a fruity something on the back of the tongue.
Milk please, no sugar.

Last year's blckberry vodka. Very nice it is, too. The yearnof maturing has made it lose its woody edge.

Had one of my crimbo beer, pretty good, not one I would drink often or a lot off. Let's say if I got it served in a pub I would drink it, but not order it again. Though that said others have said they really enjoyed it.

Earlier I really enjoyed a couple (or so) bottles of Frredom lager. A very nice Pilsner style beer, brewed in Staffs.

As an Xmas pressie my FiL bought me 2 large bottles of Estrella Damm, a bottle each of Moretti, Erdinger, Franziskaner and Amigos (  )

Apart from the last one I look forward to testing all of them (though the Estrella is the export version, at 4.6%, not the domestic version at 5+%)

Fuller's ESB. ESB used to be one of my favourites. I'm sure it used to be bottle conditioned, which now it isn't, and I think the draught version is considerably better than the bottled. I definitely prefer Broadside now.

Today went...

Brass Castle Christmas Kitty
Mikkeller Red/White
Deus
Delirium Noel
Rodenbach Grand Cru
Brewdog Paradox Heaven Hill

I did the dinner and the dishes, so felt like if earned it. Highlight was the paradox, which was luscious, but Deus is a treat.

Glass of southern comfort - without ice as the ice shelf in freezer is full of smoked salmons :)

Broadside is a damn fine pint. Unfortunately, the Henny Swan is out of it (and practically closed pending ownership change), so I have to go elsewhere for it. It's 6 miles to the nearest pint!

Brewdog/ Tool Hardcore Maelk
Leffe Blonde

Next is a choice between Siren limoncello IPA, weird beard sorachi face plant, de molen spanning & sensatie and a brewdog dead pony club. The de molten is looking good.

A large Glenfuddich 12yr old. Ok, not the king of malts, but a thoughtful present from my wife nonetheless.

I'm doing a taste test between Scottish gins. Eden and Pickerings.

Christmas pudding gin martinis. I wasn't convinced much of the pud would make it over to the final distilled gin, but it actually is quite christmas pudding-y.

Since we started collecting gins it makes for easy present giving, people keep n+1ing our gin collection. (Though they can stop buying us Bombay Sapphire, because it's not that great, I'd rather have Beefeater which at least makes an better G&T.)

Finished the case of Stone Brewing odds and ends we liberated from them a while back. And the last bottles of Great Divide Saison. The fridge looks like a beer shop (partly a symptom of my wife working opposite Bottledog).

I got a homebrew kit for Christmas which might be dangerous. I can't have an alembic still until I master beer. Apparently.
