Estrella Damm, or at least I was until I had to go into the office.

Officially lager of the gods...

Drowning my embarrassment at being in on a Saturday night with Aldi's Andara Chilean merlot.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

An unfinished bottle of white and 3 unfinished bottles of red ( all about 1 glass short of being full). The wages of sin (or doing the washing up after a 50th birthday party).

The cheap rum was preceded by witchcraft ginger beer. No, not the kids drink, this is 4.2% proper ginger beer.

Well gingery, almost a bit sweet; definitely needs chilling. Might have to buy some more, it's cheap in Lidl atm.

I can't get any google hits on that, can you clarify?
Sweet gingery ginger beer is just the kind of thing I like. I'm not a fan of Crabbies- too beer-y. I used to drink Stones Ginger Joe but it's been removed from the shelves (seemingly mostly by me, and Mr Smith at my request) at our local Tescos.

I confused things by typing witchcraft when I should have typed wychwood.
It was this one, but from Lidl ('cause I'm a lidle shopper and only go into waitrose under protest)

Just taken delivery of a couple of bottles of Scottish Gin:

The Botanist, from Islay, and
Caorunn, from Cromdale.

We're cracking open The Botanist tonight.

I like the Botanist (which is what we are drinking right now). Found the Caorunn a bit meh.
Going to a gin festival tomorrow...

Lidl limoncello from the freezer; bit sweet, but does the trick with dessert and a coffee.

For some reason, probably because I'd drunk too much of it, we have two bottles of the The Botanist. It's not bad. Caorunn is indeed OK, but nothing special. For a Scots-ness, I like Pickerings or Darnley's View.

As I'm just back from dropping the wife off at Croydon's finest musical venue, I'm nursing a glass of my very own homebrewed lager, which remains surprisingly unfatal and dare I say, drinkable. I'm going to try brewing an IPA next.

The gin festival was good, except for the fact it was sponsored by Fever Tree and therefore that was the only tonic.
Came home with a bottle of Cotswold (which we'd already had but liked) and some Dutch stuff called Bobby's, which was pretty interesting.

Sounds good.

Our Botanist G+Ts have been with Fever Tree tonic, and I have no complaints.

I didn't like it. Too beery. Mr Smith had it instead. I also get some Hatherwood Ginger Grizzly which was much more like the thing. He reckons I'm going to be suffering tomorrow though, as it was a bit chemically astringent and cloudy. Whatevs, as the kids say.

Just finished my post-breakfast espresso, slightly over-roasted (for me) Esperanza from Colombia.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight
