Have made a pact with Mrs. Torslanda, she of the horned helmet and heavy metal breastplate, that we won't open any new bottles this Xmas until we have consumed the contents of every part bottle that we currently have.

So far, nothing is tasting very sour. Out of the Boon, 3 Fontainen & Oude Beersel I think the Boon was the sourest, which is a bit of a surprise.

So far our quest has led to the finishing of a bottle of apple vodka, espresso ~~bongo~~ vodka & cinnamon vodka.

For the benefit of the shrinking reader, the first two yielded no more than about a std double each (& at 26% or so we aren't necking the hard stuff) The cinnamon will prove to be a challenge. There are more than one or two shots left but we will soldier on and we have Stilton, smoked Cheddar, Danish blue, houmous and crackers to help.

We started (well, after the coffee which doesn't count) on Buck's Fizz, then went to the pub. Unfortunately they didn't have the Tally Ho! on so I was forced to drink the Palmers Best IPA instead. We're being quite restrained really.

Kriek looks good. I'm trying to remember to good stuff I had in The Rake a while back. £8 a half and worth every penny. The Dogpatch Sour Cherry I had in Bottle Shop the other weekend was rather splendid and worth hunting down.

Have a mixed box of Wild Beer to tackle this evening (actually, if we don't tackle the beer mountain in the porch, we'll be exiting via the back door for the foreseeable future). Yesterday the wine didn't leave much room for beer.
