Splutter says the keg of Clwb Tropicana. I guess I won't be having that then.

Never thought I would - I love a cognac or an armagnac, entirely unadulterated - but I've been listening to old plays on BBC Sounds in which - for example - a fruity voiced chap repairs to his club and asks the steward for "A large brandy and soda. I shall be in the Smoking Room; send up a cold supper and today's Times. I'm expecting an urgent wire from Rangoon - should I nod off, don't hesitate to rouse me." etc.

So I thought I'd have a bash at it.

I'm on some DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL painkillers for an injury so I've tried some 0% stuff - I really can't tell the difference between real Leffe Blond and Leffe Zero Blond (Doom Bar Zero is awful)

Very cold Carlsberg Pilsner, as they term it nowadays. Not much alcohol, but quite refreshing. I found a traditional pint pot at the back of the kitchen cupboard. I must say that there is something very satisfying about drinking from one.

Old Peculiar was always famed for tasting better on the return journey. That’s not a compliment.

We emptied the fridge at 360 Degrees. Now transferring it from my fridge to belly. Their elder saison is like running headfirst into summer so hard that you get a hug from the concussion.

Attibassi espresso. A relatively small roastery in Bologna. Nice, not packed with shite like Lavazza. Best of all, I get it from TKMaxx. Really weird how they stock 1kg bags of Italian bar coffee.

Water. I gave up tea a couple of months back when the gastritis got nasty. Coffee at home, ditto. Strangely, coffee when cycling doesn't bother me.

I think labelled as 0.5% because they can't guarantee zero. Not quite sure what the others do to be able to state zero?
