Oakham "Citra" IPA. Very good, sharp-tasting, hoppy beer. It was on offer in Waitrose when I was in there a couple of days ago.

Water. It was Clwb Wisgi tonight and I may have have had a couple of cwrw chasers.
Still, it was a good evening.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Tea of my own concoction.

Finely chopped fresh turmeric, garlic and coarsely ground black pepper. Put in a good quality strainer and pour boiling water over it, allow to steep.

A rather good claret. What's in my glass is the last wine in the house. I must go to Waitrose tomorrow...

I spent the afternoon weeding at the parents & stayed for dinner.  My mum put what she thought was a cheapish bottle of red on the table... it was actually one I'd given her for a special occasion .. 🤦🏻‍♂️  https://www.costco.co.uk/Wines-Spirits-Beer/Wines/Red-Wine/Chateau-Montlandrie-Cotes-De-Castillon-2018-75cl/p/306200     rather nice though !

18 year old Ice Wine.

It is surprisingly drinkable!

It is also in the right thread now  ;D
It is simpler than it looks.

Something I'd rather I wasnt. This month's Whiskey Me has arrived, and one of them is "Isle of Raasay".

Puts the feck in disinfectant.

I know, I know, if it doesn't taste like TCP that's been boiled into a concentrate then strained through a Dettol-soaked rag, it's not proper connoisseur whisky.

So what?

It's awful...

I found a bottle of Chianti Classico as old as me (an entire case in fact). I took it as a novelty. I don’t think I’m brave enough to open it.

Just drained the dregs of the espresso I finished 10 minutes ago. Word to the wise: don't.

Kinnie. I'm not sure where this drink has been all my life, but really, it's the ultimate soft drink. Tastes a bit like Campari and orange, but without the boozecohol, though I found a great cocktail of Amaro del Capo, Prosecco, and Kinnie. I just bought 48 bottles of Diet Kinnie, so it should keep me going for a bit.

I don't think I'd suit one.

this

"We've teamed up with @deafchefs to help launch the first deaf run food truck in the UK, with this Pale Ale. We're working closely to understand what makes an inclusive space to the deaf community - and also learning about the woes of auto correct on messaging, which gave us this name!"

AND it's rather decent beer. (From the Pretty Decent Beer Company, my local micro brewery)

It's possible that I am the last person to drink cask Windswept Clavie as I had the last one at Krakatoa today :(

Tesco are selling Banrock Station wine in flat recycled plastic bottles. I see this as having advantages:

you can carry two plastic bottles home for the same weight as a glass one
they fit sideways in the fridge door - so two bottles in the space of one

I would say these bottles will be a big hit for camping trips too

Only problem is that they contain Banrock Station wine...
