just back from an evening in a munich beer hall having drunk nothing but water which was quite difficult.

Water.
I have recently tried to make a habit of drinking at least a litre of water a day,in addition to the coffee & soft drinks(& occassional beer & wine).
Not only is it upping my fluid intake but it takes away some of the hunger pains & reduces my gannet-like food consumption .some of which is not of the good-for-you variety

There must be a million and one variations of that and an equal number of names.

Lemonade, ginger beer and angostura bitters = Malawi shandy

Replace the lemo with soda = Rock shandy.

I think I might order something similar next time I'm in a pub and not drinking beer

i survived my second night on water only, so only 8 days to go till the end of the resolution. I've got a long flight on the 1st and plan to spend all of it pissed
